Yes! We're looking for acts of all kinds - solo performers, ensembles, acoustic and electric groups - to cover John Prine songs. You'll need to submit an application that includes audio/video samples of your performances. See the Artist Application form to apply.

The Call for Artists opens February 2, 2025, and closes March 30, 2025. We will notify all applicants (whether selected or not) of our decisions on or before April 13, 2025.

Performance times vary by ensemble size:
Headliners, Medium Groups (4-6 people), and Big Bands (7+ people): 45-minute sets (5-7 songs)
Solo acts and Small Groups (2-3 people): 30-minute sets (3-6 songs)

This event celebrates the songs of John Prine through cover performances ONLY. However, we welcome original songs that are specifically about John Prine. All other material must be covers of Prine's work.

Once the lineup is finalized, selected artists will have the opportunity to claim their songs. Each song can be performed only once during the event. We recommend having multiple options in mind, as songs are claimed on a first-come, first-served basis.

As this is a charity event, all artists donate their time and talents to support NAICCO's Land Back campaign. While there is no monetary compensation, we can provide charitable contribution receipts for tax purposes upon request.

All proceeds from Diamonds in the Rough benefit NAICCO's Land Back campaign. The event takes place on June 6 & 7, 2025, at The Rambling House.
